iOS App Store Version

Dedicated version for iOS (Apple Devices) is now available in the app store. This is the recommended way to use Brewfather for iOS devices. On Android devices, add the app to your home-screen from the Chrome browser.

New public recipe library

Public recipe library where you can search for recipes shared by other Brewfather users. Located as a new page called "Library" in the menu.

To share your recipes in the library there is now a new "padlock" icon in the recipe designer. Clicking this you can toggle the recipe to be publicly available.

All users can view and download recipes. Upload (and voting) of recipes are for Premium users only.

Text search can be used to search for all the visible text fields, inlcuding recipe name, style, tags, profile name. More filtering options will come later as the library grows.

New public profile creation

Be quick and reserve your brewery profile name today, this is unique and will be used to identify you in future Brewfather community features.

The first time you try to share a recipe, you will be asked to create a public profile where you upload a brewery avatar, and choose your brewey profile name and so on. You can also initialize the public profile creator from the account page. Only premium users can create a public profile.

When logging with Tilt, you must now attach it to the batch rather than putting the batch name in the "beer name" field of the Tilt App / TiltPi.

Beer name will still work temporarily to not break any ongoing logging. If you have attached the Tilt, the attached batch will be prioritized over the "beer name" field.

This is to simplify and avoid confusion where the batch is not logging even when attached because there is something entered in the beer name field.


Power-ups (integrations) are now restricted to Premium users only. The free Premium period for new users are extended from 24 to 30 days to give some more time for new users to test these features. Ongoing logging will not be interrupted.

Beta Test Feature

  • Added an additional option for FG estimation, called "Normal", selectable in the settings. This method uses fermentable type, not fermentablility % like the advanced option.
