This version includes support for notifications and e-mail reminders. Get notified of important batch events like "Brew Day"-reminder, dry hop times, fermentation profile steps, and so on.

You can customize which notifications and e-mail reminders you want to recieve in the settings page.

  • Introduced a new "Total Gravity" term, this gravity inlcudes all the sugars used in the recipe (including bottling sugar) and is used to calculate ABV and attenuation. Original Gravity now only include sugars before fermentation start. Shows as a new field in batch summary. Previous version the Original Gravity worked as Total Gravity is now

  • You can now easily add carbonation sugar to recipe from batch carbonation section and have it properly included in the ABV calculation

New public recipe library

Public recipe library where you can search for recipes shared by other Brewfather users. Located as a new page called "Library" in the menu.

To share your recipes in the library there is now a new "padlock" icon in the recipe designer. Clicking this you can toggle the recipe to be publicly available.

All users can view and download recipes. Upload (and voting) of recipes are for Premium users only.

Text search can be used to search for all the visible text fields, inlcuding recipe name, style, tags, profile name. More filtering options will come later as the library grows.

New public profile creation

Be quick and reserve your brewery profile name today, this is unique and will be used to identify you in future Brewfather community features.

The first time you try to share a recipe, you will be asked to create a public profile where you upload a brewery avatar, and choose your brewey profile name and so on. You can also initialize the public profile creator from the account page. Only premium users can create a public profile.

Important

When logging with Tilt, you must now attach it to the batch rather than putting the batch name in the "beer name" field of the Tilt App / TiltPi.

Beer name will still work temporarily to not break any ongoing logging. If you have attached the Tilt, the attached batch will be prioritized over the "beer name" field.

This is to simplify and avoid confusion where the batch is not logging even when attached because there is something entered in the beer name field.

Changes

  • Adjusted lactic acid strengt as mash addition, is now approximately 30% stronger, meaning your amount will be about 30% less at same estimated pH.

While some have reported very close to reported pH after lactic acid addition there has also been a number of reports on the amount being too high and giving a lower than estimated pH, still looking for feedback on this, please report your results.
